Deputy Permanent Representative Ambassador Sangjin Kim echoed the Special Envoy’s call to stop the violence in Myanmar and emphasized that the Myanmar crisis is a pressing issue that requires the more enhanced role of the UN.
"As a country that faithfully upholds the UN Charter, as a regional stakeholder, and as a member of the Security Council, the Republic of Korea will do its part to contribute to a peaceful resolution of the crisis in Myanmar."
